Where's everyone staying?

As of this post, there are two primary hotel resorts friends and family are staying at; the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki, and the Turtle Bay Resort and Spa on the North Shore.  These are by no means the only places you can stay.  Jeralyn and I both would like everybody to be as comfortable as they would like, wherever and however that is.

Hilton Hawaiian Village

Jeralyn and I will be staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village throughout our stay. This place is very large, several pools, three different towers and on the beach in Waikiki.  Walking distance to just about anything you want, with the exception of seclusion.  If you stay here, you will likely not be needing regular access to a rental car.

Several friends and some family have already booked rooms and timeshares here.  For those have booked, nobody has yet done it directly through the hotel.  Most have used timeshares or packaged deals via travel websites.

You do not need to stay at the HHV to catch the shuttle out to the North Shore on Thursday, you just need to be there before it leaves (to be decided).

Turtle Bay Resort

Turtle Bay Resort is located on the North Shore (as mentioned, 5 miles away from Loulu Palms) and is the Yin to the Hilton's Yang.  Tranquil and slow paced, but remote with access to little else than the resorts amenities.  This is considered "country" on Oahu, and it very much is.

Family of the Johnson side of the wedding is planning on staying here if they haven't already booked.

We will post some more details about where/how people have gotten their deals in another post. My friend Justin Brossier used to work in the travel industry in Hawaii and I will get any insightful thoughts from him about accomodations on the island including these two places.
